Don Warren, known to teammates as Donnie and Dutch, is a former Washington tight end, three-time Super Bowl champion, and key member of the celebrated Hogs era. Donnie played in four Super Bowls and won three with Washington. He credits the Hogs' success to detailed preparation, hours of film study, smart and accountable players, and a bond that extended well beyond the field. That trust helped the group protect one another and keep winning through changing lineups and quarterbacks.
After his playing career, Donnie experienced the game from the scouting room and later coached young athletes. A college haircut left Donnie looking like the little Dutch boy from the paint can, and teammates called him Dutch for roughly the next 12 years.
