About Taylor Morin

Taylor Morin is a Westfield High School graduate, Wake Forest's all-time leading receiver, and former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver. At Westfield, he helped sustain a championship tradition as a two-sport athlete and contributed at receiver, defensive back, quarterback, and returner. At Wake Forest, Taylor paired a record-setting football career with an engineering degree and an MBA before signing with his childhood-favorite Eagles as an undrafted free agent. On The Sideline, he examined the transfer portal, college football revenue sharing, the value of education, the mental demands of returning punts, and the transition from college football to an NFL training camp.

Taylor Morin: A Championship Standard at Westfield

A Championship Standard at Westfield

Taylor helped carry forward Westfield High School's championship tradition in both football and basketball while contributing almost everywhere on the football field. In a memorable game against Freedom, he scored four different ways: on a reception, a rushing play, a touchdown pass, and a defensive scoop-and-score. Taylor credits Kyle Simmons and Westfield's assistant coaches with teaching the team to stay humble, improve every week, and play its best football when the postseason arrived.

Wake Forest Records, Two Degrees and an Eagles Opportunity

Taylor became Wake Forest's all-time leading receiver, contributed as a return specialist, and was part of the 2021 team that tied the program record with 11 wins, reached the ACC Championship Game, and won the Gator Bowl. He also earned an engineering degree and an MBA. After going undrafted, Taylor received offers from eight NFL teams in roughly 15 minutes and chose Philadelphia, the team he grew up supporting, after prior conversations with its receiver and special-teams coaches made the opportunity feel like the strongest fit.

Four Scores, Four Ways

Against Freedom, Taylor recorded receiving, rushing, passing, and defensive touchdowns in the same game after Westfield's starting quarterback was injured.
